約瑟夫·布羅茨基 (1940-1996) 是俄國詩人，在 47 歲時榮獲諾貝爾文學獎。他出生於猶太人家庭，十五歲便退學浪跡社會，做過燒爐、運屍、地質勘探等十餘種工作，曾屢遭拘訊，多次入獄；隨後到美國定居，在大學寫作、執教。
