fret (v.) (多餘的) 煩惱,發愁。例:She’s always fretting about her kids. (她總是為孩子的事擔憂。) fling (v.) 用力拋擲。例:The graduates cheered and flung their hats into the air. (畢業生歡呼並把帽子拋向空中。) frightful (adj.) 可怕的,糟的。例:a frightful accident on the highway. (高速公路上一起可怕的意外事故。)
喬治‧克雷布 (1754-1832) 是英國詩人、醫生及牧師,以描繪中產及勞動階級百姓而聞名。他早年在醫界服務,之後轉職為詩人,受到愛爾蘭政治家及哲學家埃德蒙‧伯克的賞識,並在他的引介下,晚年進入教堂服務。
