give of… 付出時間、精力或金錢而不求回報。例:Susan is popular, because she often gives of her time to help others. (蘇珊人緣不錯,因為她常幫助公司裡的人。) over and above… 在…之外,額外的。例:In some cases, foreign workers get round-trip plane tickets over and above their base salary. (有時候國外員工除了基本薪水外,還可獲得來回機票。) adequate (adj.) 足夠的,過得去的。例:His performance last night was adequate but far from excellent. (他昨晚的演出可以接受,但離卓越還有一大段距離。)
彼得‧杜拉克 (1909-2005) 是著名的管理學家,對許多管理理論有深遠的影響,包括:decentralization (權力下放)、privatization (民營化)、empowerment (授予權力) 等,他同時也預測知識經濟時代的來臨,被譽為「現代管理學之父」。
