林語堂 (1895-1976) 是中國文學家、美國哈佛大學比較文學碩士、德國萊比錫大學語言學博士，一生留下豐富的小說、散文、文化評論、傳記等中英文著作，代表作包括《京華煙雲》(Moment in Peking)、《吾國與吾民》，他曾兩度獲得諾貝爾文學獎提名，還發明了中文打字機。
