卡爾文‧柯立芝 (1872-1933) 是律師出身，在美國麻州政壇由基層做起直至州長，後來當選第 29 任副總統，任內因總統突然去世而接任總統，之後又競選連任成功。他在任內掃除前任總統政治醜聞的陰霾，恢復民眾對白宮的信心，故卸任時極受歡迎。
